Convenience store retailers should expect the next cigarette price increase to arrive sooner than the normal November cycle, according to a report by Wells Fargo Securities LLC. Wells Fargo conducted a survey of its tobacco retailer and wholesaler contacts representing approximately 60,000 U.S. convenience stores to gauge expectations for the next round of cigarette pricing increases. Bonnie Herzog, managing director – equity research, beverage, household & personal care, tobacco & c-stores for Wells Fargo noted, “According to our contacts, the next cigarette list price increase is expected to be led by PM USA during the week of Sept 18 at $0.08/pack (+2-3%). We agree as we don’t expect manufacturers to wait till the normal November cycle to take a price increase, especially given the severity of volume declines in Q2,” which were related to the outsized impact of California’s $2-per pack increase in excise tax. “As has been the case in past tax cycles, we expect the industry to further mitigate California tax-driven volume declines with list price increases, partially offset by stronger promo efforts. Longer term, we see further downside to combustible cigarette volumes if the U.S. Food and Drug Administration succeeds with its new nicotine mandate. However, we believe this could be mitigated by smokers potentially smoking more in an effort to get the nicotine levels they require—an ‘unintended consequence’—and increased conversion to reduced-risk products,” she added.
We were always told that if orders were placed before 2pm, they would be shipped out the same day. I would place orders on Friday early morning (which is our payday) with priority shipping, and always get my orders Monday morning. My last order was placed on a Friday morning, and it did not go out until Monday and I did not receive until Wednesday. I was not a happy camper as I ran out.As far as price is concerned Smoketip e-cigarettes are competitively priced among the other major brands of smokeless cigarettes, and they provide an immediate savings over most traditional tobacco cigarette products. Smoketip's starter kit includes two rechargeable batteries, five flavor cartridges, a wall adapter, and a USB charger. If you're looking to give smokeless a try, Smoketip is likely to be a good and satisfying choice to go with.As far as vaping satisfaction goes, you really can't beat the Triton. It feels hefty and solid in-hand. The throat hit is extremely satisfying with either of the batteries, and the vapor cloud is incredibly impressive. Just as with any Halo electronic cigarette, one of the best features of the Triton is the fabulous flavor of the E liquid. Halo makes absolutely the best E liquids, no question! As for me? I was wrong about the NJOY Artist Collection being pretentious. It is a celebration. An amazing collection of stunning eliquids that delivers incredible flavor, skyscraper high clouds of vapor, and a vape experience that is hard to forget. If it were up to me I'd award each and every one a Spinfuel Choice Award. Only it's not up to me, its up to the team.
